Mission Accomplished

We’ve done a good deal of pimping the WMSE Kickstarter Campaign over the last few months and with good reason. The station, which has been chronicling the Milwaukee original music scene for three decades, was in desperate need of an equipment upgrade to keep live local music on the airwaves. And we are happy to pass along that as of today the station bypassed its lofty $30,000 goal, and the sounds of area musicians showcasing their wares on the air will continue. So what’s left to do after accomplishing such a hard-fought victory? Celebrate, of course! WMSE announced they will…

WMSE announced they will host a special show called “Cover Milwaukee” on Friday, March 30, at The Todd Wehr Auditorium on the MSOE campus. The unique concert will feature some of Milwaukee’s brightest current bands covering songs from local legends as well as a few classic bands coming back together to cover the best of the current local scene. The lineup (which will be announced February 14 at 2 p.m. on WMSE) is a mystery at this point, but the station promises a night that will not soon be forgotten.

The kicker (or kickstarter, if you will) is that tickets are only being offered to people who donate $15 or more to the Kickstarter campaign. And with the campaign winding down December 22 at 9 p.m., your opportunity to be a part of this special night is shrinking by the minute. Make it happen!
