So chef Justin
Carlisle – late of Milwaukee Street’s Umami
Moto – is in the throes of making his dining establishment, Ardent (at 1751 N. Farwell Ave.), a reality this fall. The restaurant will offer an experience I can safely say you will not find
elsewhere.Latest news is that Carlisle has added to the Ardent team his friend, fellow chef Aaron
Patin – who just exited the Stone Creek
Kitchen. (Patin is an alum of SURG Restaurant Group, which is where the two chefs met.) They’re working on the build-out right now, such as the tiny place
allows. Carlisle mentioned previously that his resto
would serve dinner on Wednesday and Saturday nights, and have seating for 15 diners by reservation only. Beef will come his parents’ Sparta farm, as well as many other select ingredients straight from the source. More details soon.
