Cleanliness is next to.… fit-liness? This might ring familiar from the Dish column on November 29, 2011: Sarah Dusseau, the very fit owner of Menomonee Falls-based Fit Food Trainer, and her latest fit project, Cafe One24 Wine Bar and Grill. Back in November, Dusseau was, er, firming up the menu – a menu devoted to “clean eating” (foods free of processed ingredients, trans fats, preservatives, etc.). Dusseau opened the doors to this Brookfield restaurant last week. She has enlisted local businesses to supply some of the ingredients – Wisconsin Grass Fed Beef Co-op, Empire Fish, Growing Power and Cybros Sprouted Bakehouse. If you have food allergies or follow a gluten-free or plant-based diet, she’s got your back. What delights await you at Cafe One24? For starters: steamed Prince Edward Island mussels, Wisconsin cheese plate, seared flank steak salad, grilled vegetable quinoa salad ($7-$16). Beyond that: blackened tilapia po’ boy; black and blue burger; seared scallops with mango and grilled corn salsa; chicken roulade over sweet potato mash; and herb-crusted flank steak ($8-$23). Hours: Tues-Thurs 4:30-10 p.m.; Fri-Sat 4:30-11 p.m. (3705 N. 124th St., Suite 400, Brookfield, 262-781-1662)
