If you live in Wisconsin and have been within earshot of a TV or radio in the past few weeks, you’ve probably heard your fair share of presidential campaign ads. Like them or not, the end is near, and the candidates are urging Wisconsinites to fill out their ballots early.
Everyone in this hotly contested battleground state has a chance to vote early, from Oct. 22 to Nov. 2. Both Democratic President Barack Obama and Republican vice presidential candidate (and Janesville native) Paul Ryan recently emphasized the importance of this event. Ryan appealed to a Waukesha crowd Monday, while Barack and Michelle Obama both tweeted out to followers, revealing they were both voting early and asked supporters to follow their lead.
Both parties are hoping that if Americans vote early, they will spend the remainder of the campaign spreading the word for either Mitt Romney or Obama.
To show your support early, visit your municipal clerk’s office before 5 p.m. on Nov. 2.
