Hold on to your baseball caps, coffee lovers, because we’re about to jolt your Wednesday.

On May 19, two Brewers legends, Jim Gantner and Gorman Thomas, with help from  some of Wisconsin’s very own Special Olympics atheletes, will give away 200 free Brewers tickets at the grand opening of the new Dunkin’ Donuts location near Miller Park.

The former players will also draw the name of one attendee who will be given free Dunkin’ coffee for a year (and by “a year” they mean “a Dunkin’ Donuts rechargeable gift card for $200,” according to Carrie Reckert, Dunkin’ Donuts’ spokeswoman).

The Dunkin’ will also be donating $2,500 to the Special Olympics Wisconsin and $500 to West Allis Central’s school band, which will perform at the festivities. The new location will employ approximately 40 people and is located at 2068 Miller Parkway.

As lovers of free things and the lone Brewers World Series team, we call this opening day a win for the people.
