Based in Minong, the beef jerky company Jack Link’s commissioned San Francisco-based mosaic artist Jason Mecier to create two portraits of President Obama and presumed Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney – made entirely of beef jerky. [Insert joke about cannibalizing oneself here.] The video below, deliciously titled “Meat the Candidates,” shows the artist creating his masterpieces.
Mecier’s website is definitely worth a glance. A personal favorite is the portrait of Buffy of “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” made entirely of beans.
