On Thursday, March 29, more than 400 fashionable Milwaukeeans gathered at the Harley-Davidson Museum to show their support for Sojourner Family Peace Center and preview spring fashions. Guests donned purple, which represents courage, survival and hope.

The evening began with a designer purse raffle, wine pull and silent auction. WISN meteorologist Mark Baden was the emcee for the evening and Mr. Wisconsin Foodie Kyle Cherek led a live auction and also modeled menswear. Though the highlight of the evening was a pre-runway performance from the nationally recognized Milwaukee R&B artist Cincere. Not only is he incredibly talented, but also a victim of family violence when he was a young boy. He told his story of how  SFPC helped him cope and move on.

Local media personalities looked polished strutting the catwalk in ready-to-wear fashions. Familiar faces like Jen Lada of Fox 6, Meg McKenzie of WRIT, District 4 Alderman Robert Bauman, Cecelia Gore of the Brewers Community Foundation, weather woman Sally Severson and more were workin’ it.

The show featured ensembles from seven area retailers: Five Hearts, Goldi, Macy’s, m.e. Lou, Molloy’s, Picardy Shoe Parlour and Simon Oliver. Check out the fierce spring apparel below.
