Trouble Makers’ Cocina returns to Sugar Maple (441 E. Lincoln Ave.) for another beer dinner. The four-course dinner starts at 5 p.m. Tickets are $65.
Lakefront Brewery’s traveling release party for Bumble Bear Honey Brown Ale makes its second stop, landing at Camp Bar Wauwatosa (6600 W. North Ave.) at 6 p.m.
Head to 1840 Brewing Company (342 E. Ward St.) to get a taste of Barrel-Aged African Drinking Chocolate. The rum barrel-aged ale is made with brown sugar, honey, milk sugar, cinnamon, cacao nibs and vanilla. It is one of four stouts being released at 1840’s Winter Street Party on Saturday (see below) but you can try it from the taps a few days early.
Raised Grain Brewing (1725 Dolphin Dr., Waukesha) is releasing Lonesome Galaxy Hazy IPA. Be there from 4 to 10 p.m. to try some.
Saturday, Jan. 22
It’s a big day at 1840 Brewing Company. The brewery is hosting a Winter Street Party from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and is releasing four winter beers in the process. Ms. Beauregard is barrel-aged milk stout aged in blueberry mead barrels. Barrel-Aged African Drinking Chocolate is a rum barrel-aged ale made with brown sugar, honey, milk sugar, cinnamon, cacao nibs and vanilla. Unble Buck’s Pancakes is an imperial stout conditioned on coffee beans, maple syrup, vanilla beans and almonds. The amazing selection rounds out with Wind Chiller, an oatmeal stout. All will be available for presale on Friday at 9 a.m. and you can pick them up at the party.
The Fermentorium is releasing a pair of beers at both the Cedarburg (7481 State Rd. 60) and Wauwatosa (6933 W. North Ave.) locations. Head to either for Peace Juice Packets Juicy IPA and Sombrilla Oscura Mexican-Style Dark Lager.
Dead Bird Brewing (1726 N. 5th St.) is hosting a one-hour yoga session at 10 a.m.
Sunday, Jan. 23
Gathering Place Brewing (811 E. Vienna Ave.) hosts a clothes swap from 2 to 6 p.m. Swap clothes you don’t wear anymore for new duds. When you donate clothes you get a free beer ticket. Check out the full details at the event page.
