8 Beer Events Brewing in Milwaukee This Week: April 13-17

A busy week for beer events includes a big release at The Fermentorium and a celebration of 414 Day.

Tuesday, April 13

MobCraft Beer hosts another Lager and Listen Zoom at 7 p.m. This week’s discussion focuses on the American education system.

Wednesday, April 14

Head to the Nomad World Pub (1401 E. Brady St.) to celebrate 414 Day. Show them your COVID-19 vaccination card and get a free 414 Beer (or two). The fun starts at 4:14 p.m., of course.

Friday, April 16

This is What Space Smells Like, a fruited sour IPA, is the weekly release at 1840 Brewing Company. It is available for preorder from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday. Pickup is from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday and noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday. Say it to me S.A.N.T.O.S.

Head to Birch & Banyan (150 E. Capitol Dr., Hartland) for a pairing of desserts with beers from MobCraft. The in-person tasting is at 5:30 p.m. and is limited to 24 participants, so sign up early. To-go kits are available and must be ordered by Thursday at noon.

Racine Brewing Company (303 Main St., Racine) hosts Friday Flavors at 5 p.m. Try a few Racine brews and pair them with Wisconsin-made snacks.

Gathering Place Brewing is paying a visit to Discount Liquor Waukesha (919 N. Barstow St.) from 4 to 6 p.m. They’ll be handing out samples of Murdered by Crows Coffee Stout, Treffpunkt Kölsch and  #Shoehaze Hazy Pale Ale, which isn’t being released until later in April. Samples from Neenah’s Barrel 41 will also be available from 4 to 6 p.m.

Saturday, April 17

The Fermentorium is releasing three variants Bootleggers Mark 2021 this weekend at both locations (7481 State Rd. 60, Cedarburg and 6933 W. North Ave.) at noon. The brown ale includes options aged in bourbon, maple syrup and pommeau barrels.

Try samples from Barrel 41 and Milwaukee Brewing at Discount Liquor Milwaukee (5031 W. Oklahoma Ave.) from noon to 3 p.m.
