Bang! Pow! Flip through the pages of these local comic collections.

1. Collector’s Edge

2330 S. KINNICKINNIC AVE. | 7826 W. BURLEIGH ST.

The oldest operating comic store in Milwaukee, Collector’s Edge has an enormous collection across two locations to fulfill your comic-hunting desires. Its south location on Kinnickinnic Avenue boasts hundreds of thousands of current and back issues, while the north shop offers a smaller but just as extensive selection of titles and trade paperbacks. The longtime store also buys comics for those looking to part with old issues.

2. Lion’s Tooth

2421 S. KINNICKINNIC AVE.

This bookstore cafe in the Bay View neighborhood doubles as an open art space – small showcases of Milwaukee artists are frequently on display. Lion’s Tooth carries local comics, zines and small prints, and it runs a comics residency for local cartoonists to develop and print a mini comic to be sold in the store.

It’s time to pick your Milwaukee favorites for the year!
