6 Beer Events Brewing in Milwaukee This Week: June 30-July 3

The Fourth of July weekend means craft beer events are sparse. But don’t miss Lakefront’s firkin tappings at Summerfest.

Tuesday, June 30

Lakefront Brewery is throwing a release party for My Turn: Tony, a German-style pilsner from 6 to 9 p.m. at The Newport (939 E. Conway St.).

MKE Books & Beers is happening at the Deer Garden (1133 N. Old World Third St.) from 4:30 to 9 p.m. The book fair includes several authors and vendors, as well as a children’s book drive.

Thursday, July 2

The final weekend of Summerfest means more firkin pours at the Lakefront Brewery tent every day at 4 p.m. It starts on Thursday, when they’re pouring an amber lager with raspberry. Friday’s firkin is a hazy IPA infused with dank terpenes from hemp, and on Saturday they’re tapping a double dry-hopped IPA.

Try samples from Raised Grain Brewing at Discount Liquor Milwaukee (5031 W. Oklahoma Ave., West Allis) from 3 to 5 p.m. The other Waukesha brewery, North Pillar, is handing out samples at Discount Waukesha (919 N. Barstow Ave.) from 3 to 5 p.m.

Friday, July 3

Discount Waukesha is pouring samples of beers from Raised Grain from 3 to 5 p.m.
