An event at the Milwaukee Art Museum, an all-star story slam and more this weekend in Milwaukee.

1. NARI Spring Home Improvement Show

FRIDAY-SUNDAY | WISCONSIN STATE FAIR PARK

Learn how to tackle your next big project, or meet up with pros who can save you trouble at this Milwaukee convention. There will be 200 home improvement and remodeling experts – all members of NARI Milwaukee, whose code of ethics pledges honesty, integrity and responsibility

2. artWORK Grand Opening by the League of Milwaukee Artists

FRIDAY FROM 6-8 P.M. | 1000 N. BROADWAY

This weekend marks the grand opening of artWORK by The League of Milwaukee Artists. The exhibition will feature more than 50 works by 30+ local artists. All of the art was created specifically for this display with an industrial theme. 


It’s time to pick your Milwaukee favorites for the year!

 

3. ALLSTARS Reimagining Winning StorySlam

FRIDAY FROM 7-9 P.M. | ONLINE

This virtual program brings together six fan-favorite storytellers from Ex Fabula StorySlams of old. The theme of this event is “reimagining winning,” and after the show, the audience will vote for a winner to be crowned the top storyteller of the 12th season. 4. Moving Day Milwaukee

SATURDAY FROM 9 A.M.-NOON | HART PARK OR ONLINE

Moving Day Milwaukee is a celebration that gathers people in the Greater Milwaukee area to raise awareness and funds to make life better for people with Parkinson’s Disease. The event is run by the Parkinson’s Foundation and registration is free. If you don’t feel comfortable heading out to Hart Park, there is a Virtual Moving Day experience as well. 5. Kohl’s Family Sundays With the Milwaukee Art Museum At Home

SUNDAY AT 10 A.M. | ONLINE

This is the online version of the Milwaukee Art Museum’s popular event: Kohl’s Family Sunday. The event will include learning about three-dimensional art in the museums collection (inside and out) and also give you the chance to make your own artwork. There will also be dancing with Shante James and a performance by Wild Space Dance Company.
