3 New Things Coming to Milwaukee This July

3 New Things Coming to Milwaukee This July

A new mural, gallery and album come to Milwaukee this month.

1. The Stillness of July

Twelve years after they first performed, the jazz trio of veteran guitarist Paul Silbergleit released its first album. It evokes bright, serene twilight during this warm month. Songs include standards such as “Poinciana” and a 7/8-time cover of Stevie Wonder’s “Summer Soft.”

Experience an unforgettable evening celebrating great design!

2. JK Art House

Lily Pad West has rebranded as JK Art House and moved into the much-larger former home of MARN Art + Culture Hub (191 N. Broadway). Its exhibition of the McCaw family of impasto painters closes July 11.

3. Mr. Baseball

The late broadcaster was always easy to listen to, and now he’s easy to see. The 100-foot-tall mural at 731 N. Jefferson St. depicts Bob Uecker behind the mic and was painted by Mauricio Ramirez, who also created the Giannis mural down the street.
