Story Hill BKC’s Bar Bites Beer Bash On August 29 Is a Tasting Extravaganza

The buzzword is “bites,” as the restaurant offers food pairing stations to go with the craft beer.

For Story Hill BKC’s next Bar Bites event — on Monday, August 29 at 6 p.m. — the West Side restaurant is setting up four food-pairing stations to go along with the tastings from eight regional craft breweries.

In addition to appetizers (Brie puff pastries, Buffalo chicken bites) and desserts, the stations will offer the following: beer-braised short ribs and mashed potato fritters; smoked coffee rib tips and green papaya salad; local mushroom hand pies and barbacoa flatbread; and finally duck bratwurst with house-made sauerkraut, pickled mustard seeds and caraway pretzel buns.

Among the breweries participating are Surly, Lakefront, O’so, New Glarus and Potosi.  5100 W. Blue Mound Rd. Cost: $50 per person. Call 414-539-4424 to reserve a spot.
