A big beer week includes the Lager & Friends festival, anniversaries for 3 Sheeps and Perspective, and the Locust Street Beer Run.

Tuesday, May 26

There’s a blood drive at Lakefront Brewery (1872 N. Commerce St.) from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. You get a free pint (of beer) when you donate.

Wednesday, May 27

Sprecher Brewing’s Traveling Beer Garden lands at McCarty Park (8214 W. Cleveland Ave., West Allis) until June 14. Hours are 5 to 9 p.m. on weekdays and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekends.

Thursday, May 28

Mikerphone Brewing is taking over the taps at Three Cellars (N72 W13400 Lund Ln., Menomonee Falls) from 4 to 7 p.m. Sconnie native Mike Pallen, owner of the suburban Chicago brewery, will be on hand.

Lakefront Brewery hosts the Spelling Bee Showdown from 6:30 to 8:30 that supports Milwaukee Public Schools. Bring in school supplies and be sure to register your team if you want to participate.

Friday, May 29

It’s Bay View Gallery Night, and New Barons Brewing Co-op (2018 S. First St.) is hosting a Summer Kickoff Party. They’ll have live music, a food truck and plenty of beer.

The first Firefly Friday of the summer takes place from 5 to 8 p.m. at Firefly Grove Park (1900 N 116th St., Wauwatosa). The weekly event means live music, food trucks and beer from Vennture Brew Co.

Discount Liquor Milwaukee (5031 W. Oklahoma Ave., West Allis) is handing out samples of Corona Sunbrew from 3 to 5 p.m. Try samples from Raised Grain Brewing at Discount Liquor Waukesha (919 N. Barstow St.) from 3 to 5 p.m.

Saturday, May 30

The eighth year of Lager & Friends is scheduled from noon to 4 p.m. The beer fest on the street in front of Gathering Place Brewing (811 E. Vienna Ave.) highlights lagers from several standout breweries, including newcomers Vault 202 of Appleton, Full Mile Beer Co. of Sun Prairie and six European brewers.

It’s always a good time when 3 Sheeps Brewing (1837 North Ave., Sheboygan) celebrates another year around the sun. This time, it’s its 14th anniversary with festivities including live music, food vendors and a sale of vintage barrel-aged bottles.

Central Waters Brewing is taking over some of the taps at The Tap Yard – Waukesha (1927 E. Sunset Dr.) at 3 p.m. They’re bringing a couple of rarities.

Dead Bird Brewing (1726 N. Dr. William Finlayson St.) hosts a fundraising event for Friends of MADACC from noon to 4 p.m. Adoptable dogs will be there, and the brewery is releasing a limited collaboration beer that benefits Friends of MADACC.

North Pillar Brewing is making a few beer garden stops this summer. The second one of the year happens at Muskego Park (S83 W20370 Janesville Rd.) from 3 to 7 p.m.

Sunday, May 31

Perspective Brewing (7508 W. Greenfield Ave., West Allis) is celebrating its fourth anniversary with a party. The afternoon festivities include kölsch service, music and a visit from Shorty’s Grilled Cheese.

The venerable Locust Street Beer Run is back for another year to kick off the Locust Street Festival. The 1.6-mile run begins at 11:30 a.m. and includes four beer stops thanks to Black Husky Brewing. Registration costs $30.

Brewery yoga is happening at Eagle Park Brewing (815 E. Hamilton St.) at 10:30 a.m. The cost for the 45-minute class is $15 and includes a discounted beverage.

Saturday, June 13: Sip and Savor Wisconsin (formerly the Wisconsin Beer Lovers Fest) comes to The Bavarian Bierhaus (700 W. Lexington Blvd., Glendale) and the pavilion in its Old Heidelberg Park beer garden. Sample beer, wine, spirits and food from some of Wisconsin’s best artisan makers. Tickets start at $70.

Saturday, June 13: Eagle Park Brewing (S64 W15640 Commerce Center Pkwy., Muskego) is throwing a party to mark its ninth anniversary. Keep an eye on their event page for details.

Saturday, June 13: The Lowlands Hospitality Group is bringing Belgian beers from more than 25 breweries to Wauwatosa. Belgian Bier Fest has two tasting sessions between noon and 7 p.m. to the Hart Mills parking lot (7735 Harwood Ave.), better known as the site of the Wauwatosa Farmers Market.
