20 Beer Events Brewing in Milwaukee This Week: Nov. 18-23

It’s hardly a calm before next week’s Black Friday storm, with a full slate of events including a bunch more Movember happenings.

Tuesday, Nov. 18

Reps from Lion’s Tail Brewing and Surly Brewing will be celebrating a Movember happy hour from 4 to 6 p.m. at Dugout 54 (5328 W. Bluemound Rd.).

Learn how to paint Chewbacca at the paint and sip happening at Faklandia Brewpub (3807 S. Packard Ave., St. Francis) at 6 p.m. You get extra points if you wear your best Star Wars costume. Cost is $25.

Both Camino locations (424 S. Second St., and 7211 W. Greenfield, Ave., West Allis) are marking Movember by hosting reps from Young Blood Beer, 3 Sheeps Brewing, Central Waters Brewing and Guinness from 4 to 6 p.m.

Wednesday, Nov. 19

Foxtown Brewing is supplying the limited-release beers at a beer dinner at The Stilt House (W62 N630 Washington Ave., Cedarburg). The cost for the three-course dinner is $89.

Station No. 06 (6800 W. Becher St., West Allis) is throwing a Movember Beersgiving from 5 to 8 p.m. Twelve breweries will be represented and there will be fried stuffing balls, yep.

Thursday, Nov. 20

City Fountain, located in the 3rd St. Market Hall (275 W. Wisconsin Ave.), is hosting reps from Third Space Brewing, Ope! Brewing, Central Waters, and Lion’s Tail from 5 to 7 p.m. to mark Movember.

The Mini Ornament Board Workshop at North Pillar Brewing (212 E. North St., Waukesha) lets you create a festive holiday decoration and affords you with one free beer with the $45 price of admission. The event runs from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Dugout 54 hosts another Movember happy hour from 4 to 6 p.m. Reps from Half Acre Brewing and New Glarus will be there.

New Glarus Brewing is handing out samples at Discount Liquor Waukesha (919 N. Barstow St.) from 3 to 5 p.m.

Friday, Nov. 21

Broken Bat Brewing (135 E. Pittsburgh Ave.) is releasing Green Light, a cream ale honoring Milwaukee Bucks guard A.J. Green. The sharpshooter will be there in person from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

Check out the new Mequon location of Ray’s Wine & Spirits (7555 W. Mequon Rd.) and sample a few beers from Surly Brewing from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m.

Try samples from Sierra Nevada Brewing at Discount Liquor Milwaukee (5031 W. Oklahoma Ave.) from 4 to 6 p.m., while 3 Sheeps Brewing (3 to 5 p.m.) and Sierra Nevada (4 to 6 p.m.) are offering samples at Discount Waukesha.

Saturday, Nov. 22

Made in Nerdwaukee comes to Pilot Project (1125 N. Ninth St.) from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The geeky craft fair will showcase more than four dozen vendors.

The Newport (939 E. Conway St.) is having its fourth annual Movember Meat Raffle from 1 to 4 p.m. Nearly a dozen breweries will be there pouring beer and raffling off swag.

New Glarus (noon to 3 p.m.) and 3 Sheeps (noon to 2 p.m.) are sampling at Discount Liquor Milwaukee, while samples from Third Space (noon to 2 p.m.) and Raised Grain Brewing (1 to 3 p.m.) are at Discount Waukesha.

Sunday, Nov. 23

There’s a Packers Party happening at Station No. 06. There will be specials on Surly and Guinness, giveaways and shepherds pie during the noon game against the Vikings.

Just in time for the holidays. Learn how to decorate sugar cookies at Lion’s Tail Brewing (8520 W. North Ave., Wauwatosa). The class lasts from noon to 1:30 p.m. and costs $65.

Amorphic Beer (3700 N. Fratney St.) hosts the Riverwest Farmers Market from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Friday, Nov. 28: Black Friday means all sorts of limited beer releases around the area, including Lakefront’s signature party. Check out the full schedule.

Saturday, Dec. 6: Amorphic celebrates four years of great beer with a birthday party and some special beer releases.
