20 Beer Events Brewing in Milwaukee This Week: July 12-16

Check out tastings, beer gardens, Christmas in July and more.

Wednesday, July 12

Lakefront Brewery is spending a day at Ray’s Wine & Spirits (8930 W. North Ave.). They’re hosting an in-store tasting from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. and taking over the taps at Ray’s Growler Gallery after that.

The weekly release at 1840 Brewing Company (342 E. Ward St.) is Advanced Technology Double IPA. It hits the taps on Wednesday and is available to-go on Friday.

The 2023 Stein Holding National Qualifying Series makes a stop at Old German Beer Hall (1009 N. Doctor M.L.K. Jr. Dr.). Registration begins at 6:30 p.m. and is limited to 20 entries. If you miss this one, the event returns in two weeks.

The Tap Yard – Menomonee Falls (W220 N7884 Town Line Rd.) is hosting another Paint & Sip event from 6 o 8 p.m. Tickets are $30 and you’ll leave with a painting of a tropical cocktail.

The next stop for Sprecher Brewing’s Traveling Beer Garden is Lake Park (3233 E. Kenwood Blvd.). Hours are 5 to 9 p.m. on weekdays and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekends.

Thursday, July 13

The Third Space Presents summer music series has shifted to 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursdays. This week, Zach Pietrini will be at Third Space Brewing (1505 W. St. Paul Ave.), as will $5 tallboys.

Great Lakes Brewing takes over some of the taps at The Tap Yard – West Bend (4875 County Highway Z).

Friday, July 14

Third Space is releasing its Hefeweizen and its Morning Mist Hazy Double IPA. A patio dance party from 4 to 8 p.m. helps usher in the new brews.

Component Brewing (2018 S. 1st St.) is getting into the holiday spirit for a weekend full of Christmas in July festivities. They’ll be tapping a Barrel-Aged Xmas Ale they’ve stashed away and they’ll have live music, food and raffles.

It’s Doggy Day at the Fox Point Beer Garden (7200 N. Santa Monica Blvd.) from 4 to 8 p.m. Bring you dog and enjoy a few beers from New Barons Brewing Co-op.

Try samples from 3 Floyds/WarPigs and Duvel at Discount Liquor Milwaukee (5031 W. Oklahoma Ave.) from 3 to 6 p.m.

Head to Discount Liquor Waukesha (919 N. Barstow St.) to try samples from Terrapin Beer Co. from 4 to 6 p.m.

Saturday, July 15

Sahale Ale Works (1505 Wisconsin Ave., Grafton) is celebrating its fourth anniversary all weekend with live music and food trucks. The brewery is also releasing its anniversary ale, Everything We Do, We Do It For You, which is an imperial wild ale brewed with blueberry, boysenberry and burgundy grapes. There’s even a raffle for cool prizes.

1840 Brewing’s Beer Garden Road Show will be at Ellsworth Park (600 E. Ellsworth Ln.) from 2 to 9 p.m.

Terrapin is offering samples at Discount Liquor Milwaukee from noon to 2 p.m.

Discount Liquor Waukesha has samples from 3 Floyds available from noon to 2 p.m.

Sunday, July 16

The Plant & Sip Succulent Bar returns to The Tap Yard – Memonomee Falls from noon to 2 p.m. The $60 cost includes a beer and the tools needed to create a cool arrangement.

Experience the thrill of victory during Beer Olympics at Dead Bird Brewing (1726 N. 5th St.). Bar games competition for teams of two starts at 12:30 p.m. Entry is $15.

The second annual BBQ Fest is taking place at The Tap Yard – West Bend. Five barbecue food trucks will be there from noon to 6 p.m.

Indeed Brewing (530 S. 2nd St.) hosts The Indeed Bazaar from noon to 5 p.m. Check out several local vendors in the taproom while sipping on a beer.
