Wednesday, Aug. 16
The Rookery Brewing Company is making a visit to Ray’s Growler Gallery (8930 W. North Ave.) and bringing a few beers with it from 4 to 10 p.m.
Paint a summer evening at Paint & Sip at The Tap Yard – Brookfield (2925 N. Barker Rd.) from 6 to 8 p.m. Tickets are $30.
1840 Brewing Company brings its beers to Longacre Pavilion (7343 North Longacre Rd., Fox Point) from 5 to 9 p.m. It’s another stop for The Beer Garden Road Show.
The weekly release at 1840 Brewing (342 E. Ward St.) is Want a Fresh Cut?, a dry-hopped Berliner weisse made with spruce tips.

Friday, Aug. 18
The Beer Garden Road Show comes to Liberty Heights Park (1540 South 62nd St.) from 4 to 9 p.m.
Raised Grain Brewing is bringing its Pop-Up Beer Garden to Retzer Nature Center (S14 W28167 Madison St., Waukesha) for the weekend. Hours are 4 to 9 p.m. on Friday and 3 to 9 p.m. on Saturday.
Try non-alcoholic beers from Best Day Brewing at Discount Liquor Milwaukee (5031 W. Oklahoma Ave.) from 2 to 4:30 p.m. Paulaner will be handing out samples from 3 to 6 p.m.
Head to Discount Liquor Waukesha (919 N. Barstow St.) for samples from Lagunitas Brewing Company from 3 to 5 p.m.
Saturday, Aug. 19
Cheers to Gathering Place Brewing Company (811 E. Vienna Ave.) for six years in business. They’re celebrating with a block party from noon to 10 p.m. where they are releasing three beers – Bourbon Barrel-Aged Barleywine, Peach Farmhouse Ale and Cardamom Lime Wheat Ale.
Black Husky Brewing (909 E. Locust St.) has another official Strongman/Strongwoman Competition. Battle at the Brewery III happens from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and is one of the most unique events you’ll see at a brewery.
1840 Brewing wraps up a busy week with The Beer Garden Road Show with a stop at Ellsworth Park (600 East Ellsworth Ln., Fox Point).
The next stop on the Brewery Running Series is Big Head Brewing (6204 W. State St.). The 5K run starts at 11 a.m. and costs $35.
Discount Liquor Milwaukee has samples from Sweetwater Brewing (noon to 2 p.m.) and Third Space Brewing (3 to 6 p.m.).
Try samples from Great Lakes Brewing and Paulaner at Discount Liquor Waukesha from noon to 2 p.m.
Sunday, Aug. 20
1840 Brewing hosts a food truck rally to help support Heirloom MKE, which lost its food truck to a fire in late July. Five food trucks will be there from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and The Fermentorium and Lion’s Tail Brewing are pouring as guest taps. Heirloom has a Go Fund Me set up as well.
The Great Milwaukee Bike Race is happening again. Pick your team and start at either Enlightened Brewing (2020 S. Allis St.) or Gathering Place Brewing. You have a beer at your starting point, ride to the other brewery for another beer and return to your starting brewery for a beer at the finish. The riding starts at 2 p.m. and check-in is at 1:30 p.m. Cost is $15 in advance and $20 day of the race.
There are actually two craft beer events involving bikes this week. The Craft Beer Bike Crawl begins at The Fermentorium (7481 WI-60 Trunk, Cedarburg) at 10 a.m. The 33-mile route then ventures to Good City Brewing (6300 W. Mequon Rd.), Sahale Ale Works (1505 Wisconsin Ave., Grafton) and Inventors Brewpub (435 N. Lake St., Port Washington) before returning to The Fermentorium.
Food Truck Frenzy comes to The Tap Yard – Waukesha (1927 E. Sunset Dr.) from noon to 6 p.m.
The Tap Yard – West Bend (4875 County Hwy. Z) is tapping Revolution Brewing’s Oktoberfest at 2 p.m. You get to keep the stein it comes in.
