17 Beer Events Brewing in Milwaukee This Week: Feb. 7-11

Beer lovers have a week filled with outdoor fests, a few limited releases and pazçki.

Wednesday, Feb. 7

Ray’s Growler Gallery (8930 W. North Ave.) celebrates the Mardi Gras season by giving over the taps to Louisiana’s Parish Brewing Company from 4 to 10 p.m.

There’s a chili cookoff happening at the Bavarian Bierhaus (700 W. Lexington Blvd.) from 6 to 9 p.m. See the event page for registration details.

Thursday, Feb. 8

Lakefront Brewery (1872 N. Commerce St.) is releasing a new gluten-free beer, New Grist IPA. They’re also debuting four new gluten-free flatbreads.

Public presale for a couple of gems from 1840 Brewing Company (342 E. Ward St.), that will both be featured at The Great Stoutdoors, happens at 9 a.m. Before the Barrel Italian Drinking Chocolate is a decadent imperial stout. Barrel-Aged Italian Drinking Chocolate is aged in bourbon barrels for up to 20 months.

1840 Brewing is also offering a pair of floral bouquets for presale. Choose from two different color arrangements, both come in an 1840 sour glass. You can pick them up beginning on Feb. 12. 

Draft & Vessel (7479 Harwood Ave.) is pairing Belgian beers and pie. The tasting begins at 6:30 p.m. includes seven great Belgian beers and pies from Wisconsin Belgian Pie bakery. Tickets are $75.

Friday, Feb. 9

Discount Liquor Milwaukee (5031 W. Oklahoma Ave.) is handing out samples from Abita Brewing and Founders Brewing from 3 to 5 p.m.

Try samples from Steel Tank Brewing at Discount Liquor Waukesha (919 N. Barstow St.) from 3 to 5 p.m.

Saturday, Feb. 10

The Great Stoutdoors is an outdoor block party at 1840 Brewing Company. From noon to 7 p.m. they’ll be pouring some big stouts, including Barrel-Aged Italian Drinking Chocolate Imperial Milk Stout. There will also be fire pits and food trucks. 

Pardi Gras is taking place at Ope! Brewing Co. (6751 W. National Ave.). From 1 to 5 p.m. there will be polka and zydeco music, a crawfish boil and a paczki eating contest. Ope! and Grebe’s Bakery are collaborating on a paczki pack that includes six paczki and a mixed pack of four limited release beers from Ope! 

Urban Harvest Brewing (1024 S. 5th St.) hosts a Sweets and Treats Beer Pairing at 5 p.m. For $15 you can sip beers and pair them with treats from Green Baked Goods. 

Snow Pants or No Pants is happening at Dead Bird Brewing (1726 N. 5th St.). The outdoor festival features beer, food and hot drinks. If you wear snow pants, or no pants at all, you get $1 off your pours. 

The weekly beer release at Hacienda Beer Co. (2018 E. North Ave.) is Please Stop Talking, which is described as a smoked rosé corn wine. It’s a collab with Giant Jones Brewing.

Jigs & Swigs is happening at Torzala Brewing Company (2018 S. 1st St.). The Irish dance workout starts at 1 p.m. The $17 price includes a beer when you’re done.

Try samples New Grist IPA and other Lakefront beers at Discount Liquor Milwaukee.

Discount Liquor Waukesha is offering samples from Founders (noon to 2 p.m.) and Boulevard Brewing (1 to 3 p.m.).

Sunday, Feb. 11

Yoga comes to Third Space Brewing (1505 W. St. Paul Ave.) at 10:30 a.m. The 75-minute session costs $23 and includes a post workout beverage.
