16 Beer Events Brewing in Milwaukee This Week: April 12-16

Milwaukee Day is happening this week and so are more than a few beer events.

Wednesday, April 12

Modist Brewery is making the trip from Minneapolis to Ray’s Growler Gallery (8930 W. North Ave.). Owner John Donnelly will be there and so will six Modist beers.

Thursday, April 13

Nomad World Pub (1401 E. Brady St.) hosts a release party for Lakefront’s My Turn: Yovani, an Jamaican-style lager. The fun lasts from 6 to 8 p.m.

Try samples from Sweetwater Brewing at Discount Liquor Waukesha (919 N. Barstow St.) from 3 to 5 p.m.

Friday, April 14

Friday is the last day to sign up for a membership at New Barons Brewing Co-op (2018 S. 1st St.) for $200. The price goes up to $300 on Saturday. The membership includes perks like free beer, access to special events and even an ownership stake in the brewery, and one lucky soul who registers by Friday wins a $200 gift card.

Component Brewing (2018 S. 1st St.) marks Milwaukee Day with the release of Pierogi Pilsner and pierogi to eat, courtesy of Hot Dish Pantry. The Milwaukeeness starts at 4 p.m.

Milwaukee Day at Indeed Brewing (530 S. 2nd St.) means the tapping of some small batch Hello, Milwaukee variants. The menu includes the lager infused with coffee, orange juice and zest, chile de árbol and cinnamon, and hibiscus lime. Get there at 11 a.m. to start trying them.

The small batch release this week at both Gathering Place locations (811 E. Vienna St. and 7208 W. North Ave.) is an Imperial Schwarzbier. Also, pints are $4.14 in honor of Milwaukee Day.

1840 Brewing (342 E. Ward St.) is releasing the outstandingly named Two Fisted Slopper Double IPA. Presale begins at 9 a.m. and pick up is all weekend.

Raised Grain Brewing is offering samples at Discount Liquor Waukesha from 4 to 6 p.m.

Try samples from Indeed Brewing (3 to 6 p.m.) and Young Blood Beer Company (3 to 5 p.m.) at Discount Liquor Milwaukee (5031 W. Oklahoma Ave.).

Saturday, April 15

It’s a few days early, but Discount Liquor Milwaukee is pouring samples of Sweetwater 420 Pale Ale from noon to 3 p.m.

Head to Discount Liquor Waukesha for samples from Titletown Brewing Company from noon to 3 p.m.

Sunday, April 16

Indeed Brewing hosts the the Indeed Bazaar from noon to 5 p.m. It’s a chance to shop small, local vendors and have a beer or two while doing it.

Get your churchin’ in at the Bluegrass Gospel Brunch happening at Black Husky Brewing (909 E. Locust St.) at noon. There will be soulful music from Sugar Bush, a good old fashioned community potluck (bring a dish if you’d like), and beer from the hosts.

Yoga is happening at MobCraft (505 S. 5th St.) from 11 a.m. to noon.

Third Space Brewing (1505 W. St. Paul Ave.) is also hosting a yoga session at 10:30 a.m.
