Author Jenna Kashou will head to the Third Ward for a book signing and meet-up. Her book, Milwaukee Scavenger: The Ultimate Search for Milwaukee’s Hidden Treasures explores the city’s iconic neighborhoods, challenging visitors and locals to get to know Milwaukee in a new way.
2. Sip Milwaukee Brews
It wouldn’t be Milwaukee Day without a few drink specials! Bars and taprooms around town – including Tonic Tavern, Indeed Brewing Co. and Elwoods – are offering deals. Whether its unlimited cocktails at Uncle Buck’s or a Polish pilsner & pierogi release party at Component Brewing, you can celebrate all over the city. The Lowlands Group restaurants are also also offering their High Speed Wit for $4.14 at all locations.

3. Cheer For the Admirals
Cheer on Milwaukee’s hockey team as they face the Chicago Wolves on Friday. Beyond a 414 Day celebration, it’s also Student Night and Summerfest Night at the Panther Arena. Plus, attendees can hang around after the game for a live performance by rock band Stone Temple Pilots.
4. Get Outdoors
Take in the city’s nature and check out a Milwaukee County park or two. Stroll with the skyline at Lake Shore State Park, count the bridges at Grant Park or hop on the Oak Leaf Trail and see where it takes you.
5. Head to The Cooperage
Celebrate the spirit of the city at this party by the river and dance the night away at The Cooperage’s 414 Day party. Drink local while mingling with artists and vendors.
6. Support a Local Movie Theatre
Milwaukee movie houses store much of the city’s history in their walls, but they also serve some of the best popcorn in town. Discover alternative picks at the historic Oriental Theatre, see a beloved classic on the big screen at the Times Cinema or catch new releases at Bay View’s Avalon or the East Side’s Downer.
7. Celebrate With 414 MKE
The 414 flag goes up at 8 a.m. at Milwaukee City Hall. And in the afternoon, you can make your way to the 414 Milwaukee shop in the Third Ward for free beer while supplies last.
8. Play With Bars & Recreation
The activity-bar group Bars & Recreation will have a special deal for 414 day at participating locations. Tickets for karaoke at Amped, mini-golf at Nine Below, axe throwing at AXE MKE and other activities at NorthSouth Club will all be available for $4.14 per person.
9. Discover New Music at Cactus Club
The iconic Bay View music bar will host quite the lineup for Milwaukee’s special day. Local punk and hip-hop artists Spider Creek, Social Caterpillar, Pulpa De Guayaba and DarylAnne will be there, plus a mystery opener!
10. Visit a Local Museum
Milwaukee is home to iconic museums including Milwaukee Art Museum, Milwaukee Public Museum and The Bobblehead Museum. Dive into history and culture to see what knowledge the city has to share. Plus, Harley Davidson Museum is hosting a Milwaukee Day party!
11. Support Local Youth Arts
The Outsider rooftop bar will host a fundraiser party and art gallery. With a live DJ and plenty of refreshments, it’s a showcase for local artists with proceeds going to Milwaukee’s TRUE Skool.
12. Tour a Brewery
Spend 414 Day at the places where the brews that make Brew City are made. Take a look around Miller Valley and Lakefront Brewery for a souvenir pint glass or head to Sprecher Brewing for a discounted tour.
13. Shop in the Third Ward
Historic Milwaukee will offer neighborhood posters for $4.14 along with other discounts and deals. Plus, bring a donation for the Friedens Food Pantry and you’ll get a free keychain.
