Tasty hazies and more from Chicago’s Maplewood Brewery are coming to The Tap Yard Waukesha (1150 W. Sunset Dr.) from 4 to 6 p.m.
The Plant & Sip Succulent Bar is making the rounds this summer. It’ll be at The Tap Yard West Bend (4875 County Hwy Z) at 6 p.m. For $60 you can build your own small garden, and have a beer while doing it.
Sprecher Brewery (701 W. Glendale Ave.) hosts Jigs & Swigs from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Dance like you’re Irish and have a beer after. Tickets are just $15.
Thursday, Aug. 25
Stock House Brewing Co. (7208 W. North Ave.) is closing its doors for good soon, but not before throwing a party. The Farewell Party runs from 4 to 10 p.m. and will include hot dogs, brats, burgers and live music.

Friday, Aug. 26
Kegel’s Inn is getting the whole Oktoberfest thing rolling at the War Memorial Center (750 N. Lincoln Memorial Dr.) this weekend on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Check out the website for info on music and fun like stein hoisting competitions.
1840 Brewing Company’s Beer Garden Road Show comes to Community Park (11345 Cedarburg Rd.) from 4 to 8 p.m.
Sample beers from Good City Brewing at Discount Liquor Waukesha (919 N. Barstow St.) from 4 to 6 p.m.
Saturday, Aug. 27
Cheers to Gathering Place Brewing (811 E. Vienna Ave.) on its fifth anniversary. To mark the occasion, the brewery is having a block party from 2 to 10 p.m. There will be food, music, rare beer tappings and of course an anniversary beer release. There are two limited brews to mark the occasion. Anniversary Rosé All Daé is a golden ale made with rosé grape juice and hibiscus. Anniversary VIPA is labeled as a quintuple IPA. Presale for both starts on Wednesday.
The Village of Brookfield’s End of Summer Block Party happens from 1 to 6 p.m. at 18725 W. Hoffman Ave. There will be live music and Biloba Brewing will be pouring beer there.
The Beer Garden Road Show heads to Heritage Trails County Park (4668 County Highway East, Slinger) from 2 to 9 p.m.
It’s Seltzer and Cider Day at The Tap Yard Waukesha. Head there at noon if you need a break from beer. It’s also another Family Fun Day, so also head there if your kids need a break from you.

Sunday, Aug. 28
The 7th annual Chris’ Slow Roll starts at the War Memorial at 9 a.m. The 10-mile bike ride honors the memory of Chris Kegel, the iconic former president of Wheel & Sprocket, and raises money for the Chris Kegel foundation. The leisurely ride heads north into Shorewood and returns to the War Memorial for a party courtesy of Kegel’s Inn. Participants get a free brat and beer/beverage for their efforts. Stick around until 1 p.m. when the Oktoberfest fun begins.
The Great Milwaukee Brewery Bike Race is 11 or so miles of fun. Start at either Gathering Place Brewing or Enlightened Brewing Company (2020 S. Allis St.), ride to the opposite brewery and return to your starting point. You drink a beer at each step along the way. Cost is $15 in advance and $20 on race day. Check-in starts at 1:30 p.m. and the ride is at 2 p.m.
Travel to some of Milwaukee’s best bars while sampling some great local brews during the Bay View Brewery Bar Bounce. The trek around Bay View starts at 3 p.m. at Blackbird Bar (3007 S. Kinnickinnic Ave.) where 1840 Brewing is the guest of honor. The trip then heads to Burnhearts (2599 S. Logan Ave.), which is featuring Enlightened Brewing at 4:15 p.m., The Newport (939 E. Conway St.) for Component Brewing at 5:30 p.m., The Sugar Maple (441 E. Lincoln Ave.) for Supermoon Beer Co. at 7 p.m. and The Tonic Tavern (2335 S. Kinnickinnic Ave.) for New Barons Brewing Co-op at 8:30 p.m. If this schedule actually holds true it will be a miracle.
Nearly one dozen food trucks will be at The Tap Yard Brookfield (2925 N. Barker Rd.) at noon. Food Truck Frenzy pairs nicely with beer.
