15 Beer Events Brewing in Milwaukee This Week: Oct. 18-22

Supermoon Beer Company is having a birthday! Plus 14 other beer happenings this week

Wednesday, Oct. 18

Supermoon Beer Co. celebrates three years in business with the release of three oak-aged beers. Presale has started, with pickup at 3145 S. Howell Ave., available beginning on Wednesday. The beers are: Inkhorn, a Munichwine made in collaboration with Eagle Park Brewing; Steembier, a farmhouse lager blended with a French oak fermented saison; and Noble Season, a farmhouse Kölsch-style ale that’s a collab with Radix Fermentation.

The weekly release at 1840 Brewing Company (342 E. Ward St.) is Through the Never, a schwarzbier. It hits the taps on Wednesday is available in bottles on Friday.

Thursday, Oct. 19

The release party for Lakefront Brewery’s My Turn: Huber, a dark cherry lager, is happening at 6 p.m. at Red Lion Pub (1850 N. Water St.).

Revolution Brewing’s barrel program is one of the best in the U.S. Try some of their Deep Woods Series gems at Draft & Vessel (7479 Harwood Ave.) from 5 to 9 p.m.

Learn how to play Skeetch, a table game similar to shuffleboard, at 1840 Brewing Company. It will prepare you for the free tournament the brewery hosts on Sunday.

Friday, Oct. 20

Maui Relief Night at 1840 Brewing means you can drink great beer and benefit the Maui Relief Fund in the process. At 3 p.m. they’ll be tapping a firkin of The Cashmere Sweater blended with pineapple juice and a keg of Third Space Brewing’s Kokua Project IPA. One dollar from each beer goes to the fund.

Third Space Brewing (1505 W. St. Paul Ave.) has a pair of beer releases planned. The final Pints With A Purpose release is Hope Ryezing, a rye porter that benefits the Walker’s Point Youth and Family Center. The other release is First Tracks, a West Coast IPA.

New Barons Brewing Co-op (2018 S. 1st St.) releases Panning for Gold California Common, the result of the Klub Kombat home brewing series. Try it from 4 to 8 p.m.

Try samples from 21st Amendment Brewing and New Belgium Brewing at Discount Liquor Milwaukee (5031 W. Oklahoma Ave.) from 3 to 6 p.m.

Discount Liquor Waukesha (919 N. Barstow St.) is offering samples from Eagle Park Brewing from 3 to 5 p.m.

Saturday, Oct. 21

Gathering Place Brewing celebrates one year in its Wauwatosa taproom (7208 W. North Ave.) with a party that starts at noon. They’ll be releasing a pair of limited beers and showing off what they’ve done with the place.

Component Brewing is pouring beer at the Oak Creek Fall Festival, taking place at Drexel Town Square (361 W. Town Square Way). The farmers market starts at 9 a.m. and festivities run until 4 p.m.

1840 Brewing’s Beer Garden Road Show isn’t quite done for the season. It will be at Indian Creek Park (E. Dean Rd.) from 5 to 10 p.m.

Boulevard Brewing is pouring samples of barrel-aged beers at Discount Liquor Milwaukee from noon to 2 p.m.

Eagle Park Brewing has hit a big milestone. This weekend, Eagle Park celebrates the brewing of its 10 millionth beer. Head to either the Milwaukee (823 E. Hamilton St.) or Muskego (S64 W15640 Commerce Center Pkwy.) taproom to join them in the fun. Beer pours and to-go beers earn you entries into a raffle to win a $1000 gift card. There will also be food specials and a sale on merch.

Sunday, Oct. 22

The 1840 taproom hosts a free Skeetch tournament from noon to 3 p.m. Sign up in advance at the bar.
