The grand opening of The Tap Yard Brookfield (2925 N. Barker Rd.) is happening at 3 p.m. The celebration includes a couple of special keg tappings and food from Mr. P’s Grilled Cheese. Welcome another Tap Yard to the family.
The Tap Yard Waukesha (1150 W. Sunset Dr.) officially opens at 4 p.m. They’re tapping eight different beers from Eagle Park Brewing to mark the event.
Thursday, May 5
Celebrate Cinco de Mayo at the Nomad World Pub (1401 E. Brady St.) with the seasonal release of Lakefront My Turn: Arturo Mexican Ale from 4 to 10 p.m.
Friday, May 6
Celebrate the first anniversary of The Tap Yard Waukesha with a weekend party. The tap list for Friday (starting at 4 p.m.) isn’t to be missed. Beers from both Central Waters and Toppling Goliath will be flowing all day, including standouts like Central Waters 24 Coconut Macaroon, Toppling Goliath Morning Delight and Toppling Waters, the barrel-aged stout collaboration between the two amazing breweries.
The weekly release at 1840 Brewing Company (342 E. Ward St.) is a good one. Mexican Drinking Chocolate Imperial Stout is available for preorder at 9 a.m. and pickup at 3 p.m.
The monthly gallery night is happening at Gathering Place Brewing (811 E. Vienna Ave.). Liv, and abstract artist, will be there from 5 to 10 p.m.
Try samples from Milwaukee Brewing Company from 3 to 6 p.m. at Discount Liquor Milwaukee (5031 W. Oklahoma Ave.).

Saturday, May 7
Biloba Brewing (2970 N. Brookfield Rd.) is celebrating its eighth anniversary with a party from 2 to 8 p.m. The festivities start with a blessing of Baby Got Bock, and a free first keg. They’ll have nine beers on tap and will be tapping firkins of Saison on Peaches and Saison on Raspberries. Live music and food are also on the schedule.
Romans’ Pub (3475 S. Kinnickinnic Ave.) is tapping The Godfather, a hazy IPA brewed by Eagle Park and the bar’s legendary owner, Mike Romans. You can expect a rarity or two on the taplines and Mike to hold court.
It’s Family Fun Day at The Tap Yard Waukesha from noon to 6 p.m., which means a bounce house, face painting, cotton candy, snow cones and more. The adults can enjoy a mini tap takeover from eight Revolution Brewing beers, including a few barrel-aged gems. Live music starts at 7 p.m
Discount Liquor Milwaukee is offering samples from a few summer beers from Leinenkugel’s from noon to 2 p.m.
Sunday, May 8
It’s a busy weekend for The Tap Yard Waukesha. The first of many Sunday farmers markets is happening from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and . There will be six food trucks on hand serving grilled cheese, which is reason enough to go.
Moms get a free beer at Lakefront Brewery (1872 N. Commerce St.) from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
