13 Things to Do When You Visit Green Bay

Where to go for food, fun and adventure in Titletown

WHETHER FOOTBALL SEASON is on or off, Green Bay is a prime destination for a day trip or a weekend away. Here are some picks for the best bites and suggestions for how to spend your time.

1. Bleu Restaurant and Lounge

2200 DICKINSON RD., DE PERE 

Located inside a renovated granary, this unique spot is the place to go for fresh oysters, seasonal cheese offerings and an ever-changing menu of large and small plates.

2. Chefusion Eclectic Cuisine and Lounge

307 N. BROADWAY, GREEN BAY

Like the name says, this dining experience is all about the unconventional. Chef Tony Phillips mixes cultural influences in inventive dishes like Tournedos and Lobster, which combines French and South African cooking styles. 

3. Hagemeister Park

325 N. WASHINGTON ST., GREEN BAY 

With a 300-person capacity and a 4,000-square-foot riverfront patio, this restau-rant is consistently bustling with folks enjoying the hearty menu of beer and burgers.

4. Hinterland Brewery and Restaurant

1001 LOMBARDI AVE., GREEN BAY

This brewery was started in 1995 in a former cheese factory and has since grown exponentially into one of Green Bay’s best, with a spacious beer hall in the Titletown district. 

5. Mackinaws Grill and Spirits

2925 VOYAGER DR., GREEN BAY  

This spot evokes the feel of a Northwoods log cabin with its wooden ceiling and stone fireplace. The menu specializes in comfort food, craft beer and bourbon.

6. Parallel 44

N2185 SLEEPY HOLLOW RD., KEWAUNEE

About 15 miles east of Green Bay proper, this winery’s grapes weather rough winters to create award-winning wines. Stop by for a tasting on the beautiful grounds.

7. Walk or Bike the Fox River Trail

FOX RIVER TRAIL

The scenic 20-mile trail stretches from downtown Green Bay to the Brown/Calumet county line. If you want to bike it, you’ll need a state trail pass, easily purchased at one of the trail kiosks. And you can rent a bike at Broken Spoke Bike Studio (115 Pine St). 

8. Kayak the Fox River

620 WASHINGTON ST., WRIGHTSTOWN 

Kayak Wisconsin will provide you with all the equipment you need and set you off on your way for an afternoon on the river. 

9. Golf at Thornberry Creek

4470 N. PINE TREE RD., HOBART

The official golf course of the Packers, Thornberry Creek has hosted the LPGA Tour three years running and is one of the top courses in the area. (Plus, the giant Packers logo on the first fairway is pretty cool.) Also consider Brown County Golf Course, one of Golf Digest’s top 50 public courses in the nation.

10. Bay Beach Amusement Park

1313 BAY BEACH RD., GREEN BAY

This shoreside park has a Ferris wheel, wooden roller coaster, bumper cars and more to keep the kids entertained. Plus, admission is free; rides are purchased with tickets.

11. Titletown

1065 LOMBARDI AVE., GREEN BAY 

The ideal playground for a young Packers fan, this entertainment district is open year-round with backyard games, Green and Gold-themed playground equipment and a full-size football field perfect for tossing the ball around in the shadow of Lambeau.

12. NEW Zoo and Adventure Park

4378 REFORESTATION RD., SUAMICO

Ten miles north of downtown Green Bay, the NEW Zoo has more than 200 animals, including giraffes that you can feed yourself. The Adventure Park, meanwhile, includes a 1,025-foot long zipline and a rock-climbing tower. 

14. Stop by the Packers Pro Shop

1265 LOMBARDI AVE., GREEN BAY

A trip to Green Bay is not complete without a visit to Lambeau Field, of course. The pro shop is open year-round with all the latest gear available for a shopping spree.
