A milestone anniversary for The Brass Tap on Friday is the highlight of a busy beer week.
Tuesday, Jan. 14
Fauntleroy (316 N. Milwaukee St.) hosts a beer dinner with Bell’s Brewing at 6 p.m. For $75 you can pair five Bell’s brews with five courses.
Wednesday, Jan. 15
The Milwaukee Beer Society takes a trip to Third Space Brewing (1505 W. St. Paul Ave.) at 6 p.m. for its weekly meeting. Sample Third Space brews and check out the entire operation.
The Riverwest Brewing Syndicate (Black Husky, Gathering Place, Company and Lakefront) releases its latest collaboration, Dulce de Leche Stout at The Riverwest Filling Station (701 E. Keefe Ave.) from 5 to 8 p.m.
Lakefront Brewery hosts Extravabandza at Cactus Club (2496 S. Wentworth Ave.) at 7 p.m. Check out nine different bands for just $5. The cover charge benefits Sojourner Family Peace Center.
Thursday, Jan. 16
Tap into your artistic side at Black Husky Brewing (909 E. Locust St.) at 7 p.m. Stickman Painting Studio will be there to guide you while you paint a wolf howling at the moon. Cost is $40 and includes a beer and all the tools you’ll need to create your masterpiece. Be sure to register ahead of time.
Friday, Jan. 17
Congrats to owner Nick Marking for five years of business at The Brass Tap (7808 W. Layton Ave.). The excellent craft beer destination is celebrating in a big way. An impressive tap list includes dozens of barrel-aged rarities and other limited brews. Head there early to try a few beers that you don’t normally see on tap.
Hacienda Beer Co. (2018 E. North Ave.) is releasing two vastly different beers at 5 p.m. Grab cans of This Is Not a Sandwich Italian Style Pilsner or Luxe and Reduxe Milk Stout made with coffee and maple syrup.
Head to ABV Social (11200 W. Burleigh St.) to sample beers from Gathering Place Brewing. A rep will be there from 5 to 7 p.m. offerings pours of three Gathering Place brews and to answer questions about the brewery.

Saturday, Jan. 18
Good City Brewing’s Seek the Good Saturday heads to the Next Door Foundation (2545 N. 29th St.) to help out from 9 to 11 a.m. After two hours of repairing donated books you get a free beer and a tour of Good City’s Century City space (3945 N. 31st St.).
The Chudnow Museum of Yesteryear (839 N. 11th St.) is hosting a breweriana sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday. Stock up on cool beer-related schwag.
Sunday, Jan. 19
Third Space Brewing (2200 Mt. Vernon Ave.) has a new take on the brewery fitness trend. Irish in Shape, hosted by the Milwaukee Irish Dance Company, gives you the chance to try traditional Irish dancing. The dancing runs from 10 to 11 a.m. and costs $10. A complimentary beer follows. Slainte!
