10 Beer Events Brewing In Milwaukee This Week: Jan. 18-22

New brewery releases, a chili cook-off, beer yoga, a diaper drive – it’s a busy week for local craft beer events.

Wednesday, Jan. 18

Humble Forager Brewery is taking over the taps at Ray’s Growler Gallery (8930 W. North Ave.) from 4 to 10 p.m. Six unique beers will be on tap and brewer Austin Jevne will be there. Food is available from the Meat on the Street food truck.

Thursday, Jan. 19

Experience Milwaukee teamed up with New Barons Brewing Co-op to create Experience Milwaukee Hoppy Pilsner. The release is happening from 6 to 10 p.m. at New Barons (2018 S. 1st St.).

Friday, Jan. 20

Gathering Place Brewing’s Small Batch Friday series features a Helles Weizenbock at the The Riverwest taproom (811 E. Vienna Ave.), while Wauwatosa (7208 W. North Ave.) features a Rose Berliner.

1840 Brewing Company (342 E. Ward St.) has a pair of beer releases this week. Contessa, Table for One is a table beer made with saison yeast and Hop Steen is a Belgian IPA. Both are available for preorder at 9 a.m.

Try samples from Component Brewing at Discount Liquor Waukesha (919 N. Barstow St.) from 4 to 6 p.m.

Saturday, Jan. 21

The weekly release at Hacienda Beer Co. (2018 E. North Ave.) is Soul Memory Black Lager.

Sunday, Jan. 22

New Barons Brewing Co-op hosts a Winter Doggy Social from 1 to 5 p.m. Expect dog treats, beer for the owners and other dog-related fun.

There’s a diaper drive going on at Lakefront Brewery (1872 N. Commerce St.). From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. bring in as many unopened, packed diapers as you can to benefit the Milwaukee Diaper Mission. You’ll get a gift card credited with 25 cents for each diaper you bring.

A chili cook-off is happening at Gathering Place Brewing in Riverwest from 2 to 6 p.m. Let the brewery know if you plan to bring an entry for a chance at chili glory.

Head to MobCraft (505 S. 5th St.) from 11 a.m. to noon for Yoga in the Brewery. Register for an invigorating yoga session followed by a beverage.
