It’s a busy weekend of new beer and other craft-related events.

Ray’s Wine & Spirits hosts a virtual discussion with 3 Sheeps Brewing owner Grant Pauly from 6 to 7 p.m. Pick up a can of Rayborhood Quad, a collab with 3 Sheeps, to sip during the event.

Third Space Brewing (1505 W. St. Paul Ave.) has a couple of releases slated for Friday. Like a Girl IPA was created by the brewery’s three female brewers on International Women’s Day. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Pink Boots Society. Third Space is also releasing, Draped In Velvet, a new hazy double IPA.

Dad’s Home Kölsch is the weekly release at 1840 Brewing Company. It is available for preorder from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday. Pickup is from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday and noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday.

Saturday, March 27

MobCraft Beer (505 S. 5th St.) is celebrating Wild & Sour Weekend in a big way. They’re releasing Sour Golden Ale 2021, alongside three other variants, over the weekend. Stop by the taproom to try those and some other sours from Wisconsin breweries from noon to 10 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. You can also reserve a spot in one of three socially distanced VIP sessions (reservations close at noon at Thursday). If you want to do the whole thing virtually, that’s also an option. Join a Zoom at 7 p.m. on Saturday with a Sour Fest Kit that includes all Sour Golden Ale 2021 variants and a few others. Sales for the kits close on Tuesday at noon and pickup begins on Friday. That’s a lot to process. It’s all on MobCraft’s website in detail.

The parklet at Gathering Place Brewing (811 E. Vienna Ave.) is open for outdoor beer drinking this weekend. To mark the occasion, Gathering Place is releasing Midwest Country Lager, its collab with Bad Weather Brewing. The brewery is also offering cans of its anniversary saisons, Atsumaru and Yuzu, and releasing a Farmhouse Red. Meat on the Street’s food truck will be there from 4 to 7 p.m. That, my friends, is a full day.

Because of the pandemic, Broken Bat Brewery never had the chance to formally celebrate their final days in the location now occupied by Wizard Works Brewing (231 E. Buffalo St.). The two are teaming up for The Curtain Call We Never Got. Broken Bat will have four of its beers on tap at Wizard Works and they’ll be releasing a collab, Wizard of Oz Hazy IPA. Make a reservation for one of the four times available.

The Fermentorium is releasing Golden Spiral Hefeweizen and the new Halcyon Days West Coast IPA at both taprooms (7481 WI-60 Trunk, Cedarburg and 6933 W. North Ave.) at noon. Both will be on tap and available for carryout.

Great Lakes Brewery is handing out samples at Discount Liquor Milwaukee (5031 W. Oklahoma Ave.) from noon to 3 p.m.

Sunday, March 28

Sugar Maple (441 E. Lincoln Ave.) hosts a panel discussion, Modern Craft: In Plain Sight, discussing women in craft beer from 4 to 6 p.m. The five-person panel is a good one, so get tickets ahead of time.
