Every Thursday from June 20 to Aug. 29, the Milwaukee Art Museum will be throwing a party. The new series, Thursday Nights at MAM, will run from 4-8 p.m., with food, drinks and live music. And admission is “pay-what-you-wish.”
“For us, our mission is to create access and foster community engagement, there is no minimum pay, it’s designed to be broadly accessible,” says Scott Schwebel, MAM’s chief experience officer. “It’s about packaging up the museum experience overall.”
Most of the festivities will take place in Windhover Hall, the museum’s main atrium, however attendees are encouraged to enjoy all the Museum has to offer.
“You should absolutely come in and spend some time in the gallery, then grab a drink and enjoy the magnificent view of Milwaukee. It’s the ultimate pairing,” says Schwebel.
The Museum’s galleries will also be open, although you will need a museum ticket to enter and explore the wide array of exhibits.
“The Milwaukee Art Museum is one-of-a-kind, and we hope to share this with as many as possible this summer,” Schwebel said in a statement.
