This weekend is full of big festivals from a city wide comedy fest, to a pet fest and more.

Featured Events 

1. Milwaukee Tattoo Arts Festival

ALL WEEKEND | BAIRD CENTER NORTH BUILDING 

Stop by the Baird Center this weekend to get some ink done by renowned tattoo artists across the world. Scared of commitment? Get a piercing or just grab a t-shirt from the festival’s dozens of vendors. You can also swing by just to check out the live entertainment. Watch contortionists, sword swallowers, circus performers and more. The festival is an all-ages event and children under 12 get in for free. Tickets can be purchased on their website and start at $20 a day.

2. Harvest Festival 

SATURDAY 11 A.M.-3 P.M. | MILWAUKEE PUBLIC MARKET 

Head to Riverwalk Commons for another year of Harvest Festival. Sip on some pumpkin ale tapped straight from a giant pumpkin, courtesy of Lakefront Brewery as you enjoy live music, free samples and local vendors to shop from. Scarecrow making and pumpkin painting will also be available. The event is free to attend and check out our guide on other family friendly events this month.

3. Milwaukee Comedy Festival

ALL WEEKEND | MULTIPLE LOCATIONS 

Get your laughs this weekend at the Milwaukee Comedy Festival. Check out rising stars, local legends and comedians from across the country as the festival celebrates 21 years of operation. There will be over 30 comedians at five different venues across the city. Dates, times and tickets for each event can be viewed on the website.

4. Milwaukee Comic Con

SATURDAY 10 A.M.-4:30 P.M. | WISCONSIN STATE FAIR PARK 

Celebrate everything about comics, games and movies at Milwaukee’s annual comic convention. Come dressed up as your favorite character and participate in costume contests, listen to Q&As from celebrity guest speakers or browse their vendors and snag some rare merchandise from your favorite franchise. The event is family friendly and will have events such as superhero meetups for younger attendees. Children under 12 get in for free and tickets can be purchased for $10 here.

5. Jurassic Quest Milwaukee 

ALL WEEKEND | WISCONSIN STATE FAIR PARK EXPOSITION CENTER 

Practice your dinosaur roar this weekend at Jurassic Quest, a three-day-only event made for children 10 and under. Watch your kids train a raptor, meet baby dinosaurs and dig for fossils. You can purchase your ticket on the Jurassic Quest Website. Children under two get in for free.

6. Zoo Brew

FRIDAY 6 P.M. | MILWAUKEE COUNTY ZOO 

Zoo Brew returns to the Milwaukee County Zoo for an evening of craft beer, cider, food and live entertainment. Guests can stroll through the Zoo while enjoying complimentary samples from local breweries, cideries and food vendors, along with animal encounters and live music. General admission tickets cost $60 for Zoo Pass members and $75 for non-members, while designated driver tickets are $20. Tickets can be purchased here. 

7. Sounds Art Exhibition and Afterparty

FRIDAY AND SATURDAY 5-7 P.M. | DAVID BARNETT GALLERY 

Head to the David Barnett Gallery to experience one of the last showings of this exhibition, showcasing the mix of modern music and visual art. Enjoy some complimentary wine and a chance to talk to David Barnett about his exhibition.

8. Yoga at the Milwaukee Art Museum  

 SATURDAY 8-9 A.M. | MILWAUKEE ART MUSEUM 

Get in a good stretch while taking in a lakefront view from the Milwaukee Art Museum. This 60-minute all-levels yoga class is the perfect start to your morning. Tickets are $20 when purchased on their website and $25 when purchased at the door.

9. Betty Boo’s Spooktacular  

SATURDAY 9 A.M.-4:30 P.M. | BETTY BRINN CHILDREN’S MUSEUM 

Sprinkle a bit of family fun into your spooky season at the Betty Brinn Children’s Museum this Saturday. Hang around a cozy campfire as you hear not-so-scary Halloween stories, watch the children costume parade and meet owls from Schlitz Audubon Nature Center. Tickets for members are $10 and $20 for nonmembers. Both can be purchased on the museum’s website. 

10. Davidson Park Pumpkin Party 

SATURDAY 9 A.M.-NOON | DAVIDSON PARK 

Kick off the fall season at the second annual Davidson Park Pumpkin Party. Families can enjoy a slew of seasonal activities like train rides, trick-or-treating and of course, pumpkin decorating. A DJ will be in attendance for a kids Halloween dance party and the event is free.

11. Bayshore Fall Fest

SATURDAY 10 A.M.-5 P.M. AND SUNDAY 11 A.M-5 P.M. | BAYSHORE 

Explore Bayshore’s Fall Festival this weekend. Bring your four-legged friends to participate in the pet costume contest on Saturday or shop from dozens of local artists. Children’s activities like pumpkin carving, face painting and yard games will also be available. The event is free to attend. 

12. Octopurrfest 

SATURDAY 1-6 P.M. | OPE BREWING 

Celebrate the fifth anniversary of Almost Home Cat Rescue Milwaukee style. Bring your pets with you as you enjoy some brew and bites from Ope! Brewing Co. The event will have activities such as a silent auction, raffle and a gift card tree to raise money for the Rescue’s cat. The event is free to attend.

13. Gather and Grow Market 

SUNDAY 8 A.M.-1 P.M | LITTLE VILLAGE PLAY CAFE 

Cherish the last few days of nice weather at The Little Village Play Cafe in Wauwatosa. Shop around for books, handcrafted jewelry and delicious baked goods or just sit back and relax with a drink on their patio bar. 

14. Samara Joy and her Septet

SUNDAY 8 P.M. | THE PABST THEATER 

Listen to Grammy-winning jazz singer Samara Joy and her band at the Pabst Theater this Sunday. Tickets range from $59—$124 and can be purchased here. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show will begin at 8 p.m.
