This MKE Hotel Has Earned a Four Diamond Designation Every Year for 45 Years

Only 10 other North American properties can claim the same honor.

You already know the Pfister is one of the nicest hotels in Wisconsin. But did you also know that it’s now one of only 11 properties in North America that’s earned a AAA Four Diamond Designation for its 45th consecutive year? The hotel has managed to receive that distinction every year since the inception of the program in 1976.

Staff members and well wishers gathered in one of the hotel’s galleries yesterday to celebrate the landmark occasion. And you can bet they broke out a few bottles of bubbly too.

“We are extremely honored that The Pfister Hotel is once again named a AAA Four Diamond hotel,” general manager Tim Smith said via press release. “The Pfister is known for its many amenities, like award-winning restaurants and spas, as well as its breathtaking historic architecture. But it is because of our fantastic team and their dedication to delivering extraordinary guest experiences that has allowed us to maintain this distinction for nearly half a century.”

“Receiving a AAA Four Diamond designation is no small feat,” Nick Jarmusz, director of public affairs at AAA, added. “We are very selective about the properties we visit each year and have high standards that we hold all hotels to, especially our Diamond properties.”

AAA inspectors visit 27,000 North American hotels annually. And they award their coveted Four Diamond designation to about 4.4% of the properties they visit.
