This ‘Bark Madness’ Bracket Helps Dogs Find Homes

All of the dogs featured in the bracket are available for adoption.

March Madness is in full swing, but the first-ever Bark Madness has just started. Local radio station B93.3 and Story Hill pet store Bark N’ Scratch Outpost teamed up for a bracket-style competition to highlight local shelters and help dogs find forever homes. Six pups on the board were already adopted since the beginning of the event on March 15.

The roster features sixteen adoptable dogs from Milwaukee-area animal shelters, all in the running for the top spot. Participating organizations include HAWS Waukesha, Elmbrook Humane Society, Wisconsin Humane Society and Milwaukee Area Domestic Animal Control Commission.

The bracket voting matches up two dogs in a round, where the remaining two will advance to the finals in the following weeks. The number one pick will be awarded plenty of toys and treats, taking home the title of “MV-Pup.” Even though there is only one champion, every dog can become a winner through adoption.

Voters also have the opportunity to earn prizes from local stores including Bark N’ Scratch Outpost, Bentley’s Pet Stuff, NutriSource, Best Breed and Stella & Chewy’s. Cast your vote weekly at the B93.3’s website now through April 3rd.
