Brookfield Academy

For over six decades, this private preK-12 school has guided students toward success. Along with a well-rounded academic curriculum that helps students strive to reach their full potential, Brookfield Academy also focuses on character development. The school emphasizes “five stars” to guide its students – truth, intellect, character, heritage and individuality.

Founded in 1962, the academy has consistently received accolades for its exceptional education. In 2024, it earned No. 1 rankings in Wisconsin from Niche for Best Private High Schools, Best Private K-12 Schools, and Best College Prep Private High Schools. The school uses a unique framework it calls the Academy Triangle, combining the efforts of teachers, students and parents to achieve the best possible outcome for each student.

Brookfield Academy’s passionate teachers and small class sizes help students make the most of their education. BA boasts a 1:9 teacher/student ratio, with 100% of its students entering a four-year college after graduation. Students from the class of 2024 were accepted to dozens of prestigious universities, including Harvard, Yale and Princeton.

Marquette University High School

Since 1857, Marquette University High School has provided a rigorous curriculum for young men in Milwaukee. Last year, the all-boys school enrolled students coming to MUHS from over 150 parochial, private and public grade and middle schools in five counties. It has received the U.S. Department of Education’s Blue Ribbon School award, the highest honor the department gives for exemplary academic performance.

The class of 2024 broke the school’s record for first-year college scholarships, with 92% of its students receiving at least one merit-based scholarship, and 12 students being designated National Merit Scholar finalists. Over two dozen of its graduates will be the first in their families to attend college, and the class is off to many prestigious universities, including Notre Dame, Stanford, Harvard and the University of Chicago.

The Jesuit Catholic high school provides plentiful and diverse college prep opportunities alongside its academic rigor. MUHS’ Campus Ministry office organizes service opportunities for the students; the Science Olympiad team are multi-year champions; and the school fields multiple sports teams.
