Get to know Blair Crimmins & The Hookers, the July 21 performers during Jazz in the Park’s 25th anniversary year.
East Town’s Jazz in the Park celebrates its 25th anniversary in 2016 and Milwaukee Magazine is partnering with the iconic Downtown Milwaukee event for all sorts of giveaways and other goodies throughout the summer!
July 21’s Jazz in the Park will feature Blair Crimmins & The Hookers. (Get your head out of the gutter.) Crimmins leads the band on vocals and guitar, with a crew of horns, a stand-up bassist and percussionist behind him. Pulled straight out of time, the band looks and sounds as if they should be performing at one of The Great Gatsby’s parties instead of in Milwaukee’s East Town.
With a balance of high-quality showmanship and musical experience, Blair Crimmins & The Hookers are sure to be one of the most energetic and fun shows of the 2016 Jazz in the Park season. They may be playing music of a time gone by, but it’s something that can be enjoyed by anyone in any era. Crimmins is a strapping young gent, usually donning a shirt, tie and either suspenders or a vest in another attempt to confuse the audience as to what decade it is. If you’re considering bringing your dancing shoes to Jazz in the Park, this is the day to do it.
Check out the video below to see what these boys might be like when they take the stage.
