The Commodore Is Rolling Out Some New Additions

The Bartolotta Restaurants’ Lake Country restaurant is rolling out a new multi-course, fixed price menu and more this season.

Though The Commodore (1807 Nagawicka Rd., Hartland) had its grand opening back in July, it hasn’t revealed absolutely everything. That’s about to change. With winter approaching – and the holidays inching closer – the Nagawicka Lake restaurant co-owned by The Bartolotta Restaurants is making some additions official, including the roll-out of its menu d’hote (multi-course, fixed price); an additional day of dinner service (Tuesday); and – coming soon – Sunday brunch.

Offerings on the menu d’hote are veal marsala (Tuesdays, $58), short rib pot roast (Wednesdays, $56), beef stroganoff with buttered noodles (Thursdays, $57), Nantucket fried seafood basket (Fridays, $62), prime rib with Yorkshire pudding (Saturdays, $79) and British Sunday roasts (Sundays, market price).

It’s time to pick your Milwaukee favorites for the year!

If you choose to be seated in the Commodore bar, that area has its own menu of “snacks and nibbles,” appetizers and a Commodore burger served with herb fries.

On Dec. 1, the restaurant will be open for Sunday brunch, serving a three-course, fixed price menu. First-course options include oysters in the half shell, deviled eggs, smoked trout plate and shrimp cocktail. Among the entrées are schnitzel with fried egg and arugula salad, dried fruit brioche French toast, avocado tartine (with optional lobster), steak and eggs, Commodore benedict, chicken paillard, pastrami cured smoked salmon salad, a brunch burger, and ricotta blueberry pancakes. Desserts range from coffee hazelnut cream puffs to a pudding of the day. Prices: $40-$70 for three courses.

The company is still leaving some surprises up its sleeve – for example, the members-only, lower-level Club 1902, which promises to offer an “elevated and bespoke experience.”

The Bartolotta developed the property in partnership with David Herro and Jay Franke of HF Hospitality Group.
