I’ve been going to the Wisconsin State Fair since I was a literal baby (shoutout to my parents!), so I have nearly 25 years of fair-going experience on my resume, ranging from being a wee one to an angsty tween to the cheese-loving twenty-something I am today. I absolutely love going to the fair. Maybe it’s all the dairy that courses through my veins when I’m there, but I feel my Wisconsin pride stronger than ever at the fair. It wouldn’t be summer without it, and there’s so much to enjoy. But there’s also so much to enjoy, which is why I put together this Wisconsin State Fair Bucket list to help you hit the highlights and get the full State Fair experience:
☐ Eat a cream puff. Bonus points if it gets all over your face.
☐ Go down the Big Slide.
☐ Get a $1 cup of milk (yes, it’s a dollar now.). They usually have fun unexpected flavors to try!
☐ See the cows. And the pigs. And the sheep.
☐ Kids, go down the piggy bank slide.

It’s time to pick your Milwaukee favorites for the year!
☐ Try one (or all!) of the Sporkies.
☐ And the Drinkies.
☐ Venture through the Exploratory Park.
☐ Meet the walking corn mascot. Take a picture.
☐ Eat something on a stick.
☐ Watch the pig races. Cheer loudly, obviously.

☐ Get a huge bucket of fries.
☐ Visit the Wisconsin Products Pavilion. Eat some cheese.
☐ Wander the Expo Center (Pro Tip: This is a great spot to cool off when it’s hot!)
☐ Hop on the sky glider. See the fun unfolding below.
☐ Visit Grand Champion Hall. Look at the weird/massive/cool vegetables. Ooh and ah about the prize-winning cakes.
The 2024 Wisconsin State Fair runs Aug. 1-11.
