The Summer Soulstice Music Festival was another hit this year. On Saturday, June 23, vendors, bands and delicious food filled the East Side streets as music lovers danced and enjoyed the beautiful day. Events ran from noon to midnight and many festival goers found themselves staying the majority of the day. Musicians rocked with electric guitars and drums on one stage while bands fiddled and strummed upright basses on another. If live music and mouthwatering food are your favorite parts about summer in Milwaukee, you’ll definitely want to stop by Summer Soulstice next year.

Summer Soulstice kicked off at noon with great weather.
There was great music all day ranging from rock to country.Local Milwaukeeans even brought their dogs along for a great time at the music festival.An evening concert by Greatest Lakes drew large crowds to the East Stage.Talented vendors flooded the streets with pop up shops.Happy Dough Lucky mini donuts were one of the many food stands that were a hit among festival-goers.There were plenty of shops selling cheeky Wisconsin- and Milwaukee-themed apparel.The drink scene did not disappoint – there were many pop up bars and local brews to try out.Nine Below Bar hosted a hole-in-one challenge, one of the many games available to festival-goers throughout the day.Greatest Lakes brought the house down. Chicken Wire Empire wowed the crowd with their banjo and bass in a bluegrass concert that got the crowd’s toes tapping.
