Tyler August
Politicians love a good fair, and state Rep. August (R-Lake Geneva) is a standby at the Walworth County Fair each summer. Last year, August took home a 270-pound hog, leaving the barn door wide open for an onslaught of pork barrel jokes. Prize pigs, beware: Staff say he hopes to return.

Tammy Baldwin
Wisconsin’s junior U.S. senator will head north – way north – to wash away the pressures of Washington, D.C., in the calming breezes of Madeline Island off Bayfield in Lake Superior. “I like to spend some time outdoors and join friends for dinner,” says the Democrat. Top of her menu preferences: fresh walleye.

JoCasta Zamarripa
The Milwaukee state rep is a fan of the stay-cation, especially when it includes the Polish Moon Ride hosted by the Wisconsin Bike Federation. “The Luna Polaca is a celebration,” says Zamarripa, a Democrat, one that brings together Polish- and Mexican-Americans with food and music.

Joel Kleefisch
There’s really no doubt about it: the state rep and first mate to the lieutenant guv will kill stuff this summer and post about it to his Facebook page. A diehard huntsman and angler, Kleefisch (R-Oconomowoc) didn’t respond to our request for comment, but that doesn’t mean he’s bashful.

Peter Barca
The state rep and Assembly minority leader will be burning off some energy on local bike trails, according to spokeswoman Laura Smith. Perhaps we could convince Barca, a Democrat and lifelong Kenoshan, to cruise up to Milwaukee for a little Brew City cycling on a Bublr.
