List: Where to Get Pizza During the Pandemic

We rounded up a list of pizza places for you to check out.

PIZZA PROVIDES COMFORT like few other foods. And fortunately, many indie-operated pizza joints in the area that normally offer dine-in service have switched to providing take-out or curbside pick-up.

Check out these options and patronize them often:


Ann’s Italian Restaurant

The 50-year-old restaurant can hook you up with curbside pizza service Tuesday to Thursday 5 to 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday 4 to 9 p.m. and Sunday 4 to 8 p.m. Phone orders: 414-425-5040. (5969 S. 108th Pl., Hales Corners)  

Anodyne Coffee Roasting Company

The Bay View location is open Monday-Friday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. for pizza to-go. Order by phone (414-489-0765) or upon arrival. Credit-card payments only. (2920 S. Kinnickinnic Ave.) 

Balistreri’s Bluemound Inn

Open from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. Sunday through Thursday, and 11 a.m. to 2:30 a.m. Friday and Saturday for carry-out service (414-258-9881) from the West Side of Milwaukee, where the restaurant has been since 1996. (6501 W. Blue Mound Rd.)

Balistreri’s Italian/American Ristorante

Open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Thursday – and until midnight on Friday and Saturday, plus 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday from this Wauwatosa spot (414-258-9881) (812 N. 68th St.)

Calderone Club Downtown

Classic Milwaukee thin-crust available Tuesday through Saturday 4 to 8 p.m. Call 414-273-3236. (842 N. Old World Third St.)

Calderone Club Fox Point

Curbside protocol: Call 414-352-9303 to place your order, pull up outside of our restaurant, and then call again and let them know you are out front. They will collect payment and bring your food out to you. Dinner Tuesday through Sunday, 4 to 9 p.m. (8001 N. Port Washington Rd., Fox Point)

Carini’s Southern Italian Restaurant

The Shorewood pizzeria offers Naples-style pies Tuesday to Sunday 3-9 p.m. Curbside carryout. Call 414-963-9623. (3468 N. Oakland Ave.)

Classic Slice Pizza

Open from 11 a.m. to midnight Tuesday through Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday and Monday, for curbside pick-up. The normal menu – including daily lunch specials – applies at this Bay View hotspot (414-238-2406). (2797 S. Kinnickinnic Ave.)

 Doc’s Dry Dock

Curbside service only, open Thursday to Sunday 4 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Pay over the phone with your credit card and they will bring the food  to your car. Call 262-691-9947. (N38W27091 Parkside Rd., Pewaukee)

Dom & Phil DeMarinis’

Open from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. daily, offering take-out or curbside pickup at its Bay View restaurant (414-481-2348). Check the Facebook page for news of daily specials.

Fixture Pizza Pub

Open 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily for take-out, curbside pickup and delivery from this Walker’s Point pizzeria (414-736-8709). (623 S. Second St.)

Lisa’s Pizza

Family owned and operated. Open for pickup Monday through Thursday 4-10:30 p.m.; Friday-Saturday 4 p.m.-close; Sunday 4-10 p.m. Delivery too. Call 414-332-6360. (2961 N. Oakland Ave.) 

Maria’s Pizza

The old-school dining room – Maria’s Pizza opened in 1957, first in Greenfield then on Forest Home – is closed but you can still order for curbside pick-up (414-543-4606) from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. daily. (5025 W. Forest Home Ave.)

Pizza Man

Open 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday for a limited carryout menu (pizzas and salads only) from its East Side (414-272-1745) and Wauwatosa (414-249-2000) locations. Oak Creek is temporarily closed. (2597 N. Downer Ave.; 11500 W. Burleigh St., Tosa)

Pizzeria Scotty

Open Monday to Thursday 11 a.m.-10 p.m.; Friday 11 a.m.-11 p.m.; Saturday 4 p.m.-11 p.m.; Sunday 3-10 p.m. This popular South Side joint offers traditional thin-crust pies (build your own, and specialty creations), plus Chicago pan-style and stuffed pies. San Giorgio Pizzeria Napoletana

Open from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday for curbside pickup at its downtown restaurant (414-276-2876) for a family-style menu of Southern Italian specialties in addition to this pizza menu. (838 N. Old World Third St.)

Santino’s Little Italy

Curbside pickup available Tuesday to Thursday 4 to 9 p.m., Friday to Saturday 4 to 9 p.m. and Sundays 4 to 9 p.m. Call 414-897-7367. (352 E. Stewart St.)

Tenuta’s Italian Restaurant

Open from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday for carry-out or curbside pickup (414-431-1014) of the full menu from the Bay View restaurant. (2992 S. Clement Ave.)

Transfer Pizzeria Cafe

Open from 11 a.m. to. 9 p.m. daily for either curbside pickup or “ding-dong ditch” (delivery) for pre-paid orders at this Walker’s Point pizzeria (414-763-0438 or order online). (101 W. Mitchell St.)

Wy’East Pizza

The Washington Heights pizza place accepts day-before preorders by phone only, Wednesday-Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 3:3 p.m. Call 414-943-3278. Be ready with your order and credit card info. If they do not sell out, they will post that info on Instagram and Facebook for that night. They also take orders on Sundays from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. if they have dough left for that night. Zaffiro’s Pizza

Open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily for curbside pick-up as well as delivery, plus Monday through Thursday specials. Call the East Side institution – open since 1954 – first, at 414-289-8776. (1724 N. Farwell Ave.)
