19 Photos from Opening Day at the Wisconsin State Fair

Opening day at the 2018 Wisconsin State Fair was a blast! Here’s what you missed.

Wheel in the sky keeps on turning! You know you’ve hit the Wisconsin State Fair when you can spot the Ferris wheel from miles away.

The crowds were thick for opening day.

Recommended for State Fair thrill-seekers and pre-Cream Puff consumption only…

Holy cow, this is precious.

How accurate are these ‘Guess your Weight/Age/Height’ shows, really?

Evidence that if you work hard enough at your goals, you just might win a human-sized stuffed animal some day.

Don’t look so sad – we’re at the Wisconsin State Fair!

There were so many games, prizes and rides that your little one could spend the whole day just in this area.

When they say it’s a simple game of shooting a water gun at a target, but then it gets intense…

There were plenty of local art vendors too. Buy one of these lakehouse signs to hold you over until you can afford an actual lakehouse.

Plenty of free and fun activities for the kiddos!

If you haven’t heard: the Original Cream Puff is a State Fair MUST-DO!

…i.e. this guy knows what’s up.

Everyone ‘aww’ on 3! 3..2..1..

Two words: Giant. Slide. #WooHoo

Over 30 stages of live music!

Evidently, it’s toy time.

This is literally just a really majestic horse.

And of course no day at the Fair is complete without those deep-fried, salty, sugary, artery-clogging goodies.
