1. Check Out (or Mark Your Calendar for) Tosa Tonight
CHRIS DROSNER, EXECUTIVE EDITOR
The vibes are good at Tosa Tonight, the weekly concert series in Hart Park that kicks off this Wednesday. Outdoor live music this time a year just can’t be beat, and you can feel a mutual appreciation of that in the air at this event. The gentle bowl of the area around the amphitheater is perfect for a picnic you pack yourself, pick up from the many good restaurants in the Tosa Village area, or just grab from the food vendors on hand. The opening act this week is Queen tribute band Another One Bites the Dust (with, um, opening act Chris Haise Band), and there’s a characteristically strong lineup of musicians across the musical spectrum all summer. 6 p.m. Wednesday, Hart Park, 1190 N. 70th St., Wauwatosa
2. Munch on Carnitas at Don Lucho
ANN CHRISTENSON, DINING EDITOR
How to start off a well-fed weekend? Carnitas! The South Side’s Carnitas Don Lucho (565 W. Lincoln Ave.) is open Fridays-Sundays from early morning to 2 p.m. – that’s it – and can get busy. But there’s nothing like getting a pound of carnitas, a half-pound of cactus salad, some fresh corn tortillas, and a container of salsa – they make several. So worth it.

Tell us who you’d pick to be a Betty this year!
3. Read There Is No Antimemetics Division by qntm
ARCHER PARQUETTE, MANAGING EDITOR
Many of the best sci-fi stories are built around one weird, brilliant idea. There Is No Antimemetics Division, published in novel form last year after being released as an online serial, is one such story. The idea is this – “Antimemes” are ideas so powerful that they destroy the memories surrounding them. You write one down and the ink fades in minutes. You encounter one and forget the second you blink. So on. The Antimemetics Division within “The Organization” exists to contain these Antimemes, and to keep them from consuming ideas, memories, time and much more. The novel follows Marie Quinn, who leads the organization in this strange quest. As you might expect the story takes the core concept of “ideas that erase ideas” to many different, wild (yet logical) conclusions. I tore through the thrilling story in just a couple days. If that weirdness appeals to you, I highly recommend it.
4. Check Out 414Flea’s Weeknight Market
AMRITA THAKKAR, DIGITAL EDITOR
Outdoor market season is in full swing, and I could not be more excited. 414Flea, which holds regular weekend markets all through the summer at Zocalo, is going a little off schedule off with a weeknight market, which might be the move for those who don’t want to deal with the larger weekend crowd. The market runs from 3 to 8 p.m and while vendors aren’t listed this time, expect a mix of vintagewear, art prints, crafts ranging from candles to jewelry and more.
