Packers squeak by, Clinton has pneumonia and Braun plays hero

Here’s what’s got us talking today.

First thing first: The Pack is back… in action. The Green Bay Packers just barely beat the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, 27-23, in their season opener in Florida.

If you didn’t read it Sunday, here’s James Causey’s excellent column in the JS in which he’s looking for classmates from his third-grade class at Samuel Clemens Elementary School.

There were commemorations everywhere Sunday on the 15th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks…

… but the biggest news out of them was that presidential candidate Hillary Clinton had to leave the New York event. She has pneumonia, her campaign later said.

MillerCoors will renew its sponsorship of Milwaukee World Festivals Inc. and help pay for renovations of Summerfest’s Miller Lite Oasis Stage.

Finally, Ryan Braun socked a ninth-inning home run to earn a 2-1 victory and a split in the Brewers’ four-game series with the Cardinals – something they don’t often do in St. Louis.
