Packers, Badgers, Beltway doings and homeless deaths

Happy New Year.

Our resolution is to run all our various tables in 2017, just as the Packers did.

We’ve been reading about their big win over Detroit on Sunday; next week’s playoff matchup is against the New York Giants.

Also worth checking out:

Jesse Garza’s fine piece Sunday in the JS on the at least 44 homeless people who died in Milwaukee in the last two years.

The Washington Post on Republican plans for Congressional action, now that they control the table under the leadership of our own Speaker Paul Ryan.

Also in the Post, a very interesting story about the challenges Reince Priebus will face trying to control things in the Trump White House.

And here’s everything you could possibly want to know about the Wisconsin Badgers’ appearance in the Cotton Bowl. Kickoff is at noon today.
