The Green Bay Packers start the season with a win in Chicago, Scott Walker is putting forth a new campaign proposal about federal unions, new plans for Wisconsin Avenue, and more.

  • Scott Walker, who is still running for president, “will propose eliminating unions for employees of the federal government” today at a town hall in Las Vegas, the AP reports.
  • Milwaukee Area Technical College President Dr. Vicki Martin talked with Mike Gousha about the MATC’s new plan offering free tuition. Also on Sunday’s UpFront: Jay Heck, executive director of Common Cause in Wisconsin and ABC political director Rick Klein. WisPolitics has the recap.
  • Plans for the largely vacant, city-owned parking lot on Wisconsin Avenue gained city approval. The project, “The Spot 4MKE,” is moving forward through a licensing agreement with Creative Alliance Milwaukee.
