The NCAA tourney, a TV series writer with Milwaukee ties and much more.

The NCAA Tournament begins in earnest today with 16 games, robbing offices everywhere of productivity. The top-seeded Badgers will play Friday.


Christopher Manney, the Milwaukee police officer who shot and killed Dontre Hamilton in Downtown Milwaukee last October, is trying to get his job back. The hearing begins today at 4:30 p.m.  In related news, a top story in the New York Times last night focused on a short documentary by a Milwaukee filmmaker about a Wisconsin law mandating that police shootings be investigated by an outside agency. A 57-year-old Dodge County man was seriously injured in a crash involving cheese. The crash involved a truck carrying thousands of pounds of the dairy product.
