Scott Walker is officially running for president, the state budget has officially been passed, and John Oliver offers his take on publicly funded sports stadiums.

  • Gov. Scott Walker has finally made it official — he’s running for president. He’ll make it even more official with a speech and rally at the Waukesha Expo Center today at 5 p.m.

  • The New York Times says Walker is aiming to be the “smart” candidate in a crowded GOP field in the 2016 campaign.
  • Yesterday, Gov. Walker signed the 2015-17 state budget in Waukesha. Get more info on what’s in the state budget at WisPolitics’ Budget Blog.
  • On HBO’s Last Week Tonight, John Oliver took a look at publicly financing stadiums for professional sports teams. And yes, the piece does indeed feature the Milwaukee Bucks. Watch it below.
