Zero the polar bear, Steven Avery, the 2016 Oscar nominations, and college grads in debt.

The 2016 Oscar noms were announced this morning. The actor nominations include two with Wisconsin ties – Kenosha native Mark Ruffalo and Brit Mark Rylance, who attended University School of Milwaukee.



One-time Milwaukee County Zoo resident Zero the polar bear has passed away at the age of 26.


University of Wisconsin system alumni graduate with more debt than the average U.S. college grad. A tuition task force is trying to determine why.


In yesterday’s Links, we mentioned the recent “frostquake.” Turns out the boom heard round the area wasn’t caused the weather. It can be attributed to the National Guard.



Steven Avery’s former fiancee has apparently changed her tune of support for the convicted murderer.
