Morning Links for Feb. 12, 2015

Politics, travel and “nut rage.”

Extra, extra.

  • A Washington Post article discusses Governor Scott Walker’s exit from college. One excerpt from the piece: “Walker clearly liked college politics more than college itself.”
  • A former Korean Air president has been sentenced to one year imprisonment for ordering a New York plane to return to its gate. Reason for the delay? “Nut rage” and macadamia nuts. More on that here.
  • And in other news of travel, Expedia will buy Orbitz for $1.3 billion.
  • Milwaukee’s own Lt. Col. Edmund Mackett served an extensive career in the military, embarking on 113 combat missions in Vietnam. Mackett died on Feb. 6 at age 85.
  • Go west, says Visit Milwaukee. The tourism group recently launched a website promoting Wauwatosa.
