Today’s the day Donald Trump is officially elected president: The Electoral College votes today in state capitals across the country, including Madison, where all 10 votes will be cast for Trump.

Speaking of the election, senators from both parties are pushing for a broader investigation of how Russian hackers may have sought to influence it.
Locally, today is the final show of talk radio veteran Charlie Sykes who has had lots of national attention for his opposition to Trump, including this interview on National Public Radio over the weekend.
His last day’s a mighty cold one, though the weather’s going to warm up considerably this week.
But many of us have warm feelings in the aftermath of the Packer’s “enthralling” (Bob McGinn’s word) win over the Bears Sunday, putting them in a good position to get into the playoffs.
