Last year, eight local chefs came together for the inaugural Chef Event, presented by Milwaukee Magazine and The Bartolotta Restaurants. Tickets sold out within weeks, and the delightful evening left little doubt that a second Chef Event was in order.
This year’s event will take place on Wednesday, April 18, at The Bartolotta Restaurants’ Downtown Kitchen at the U.S. Bank Center (777 E. Wisconsin Ave.). And this year we’re excited to add co-owner of Bartolotta Restaurant Group and two-time James Beard Award-winning chef Paul Bartolotta himself to the roster of notable Milwaukee chefs participating.
Guests are welcome to check in at 5:30 p.m. to mingle while enjoying cheese, crudité, wine and craft cocktails. From there, eight of Milwaukee’s most notable chefs will prepare tastings of their signature dishes. Attendees will enjoy live entertainment while they dine, and even get the chance to meet some of the city’s finest chefs.
This year’s featured chefs include: Dan Van Rite and Dan Jacobs from Dandan, Dane Baldwin from The Diplomat, Paul Zerkel and Lisa Kirkpatrick from Goodkind, Justin Aprahamian from Sanford Restaurant, Erik Hansen from Supper, Andrew Miller from Third Coast Provisions, Heather Terhune from Tre Rivali and Paul Bartolotta from The Bartolotta Restaurants.
Following the meal, guests can enjoy desserts made by a Bartolotta pastry chef. Milwaukee Magazine‘s editor-in-chief Carole Nicksin will engage in a brief Q&A with the chefs.
Early-bird tickets are available online now until Feb. 28 for $75/person. On Mar. 1, the ticket prices increase to $95/person. Proceeds from the Chef Event will benefit The Hunger Task Force of Milwaukee.
